French & English Confectioner’s is a shop concept and design label, created by Lucie Gonnord in 2007.

Lucie trained in shoemaking at the world-renowned London leatherwork school, Cordwainers.

The aim of French & English Confectioner’s is to create a range of simple, classic, luxury leather goods for men, women and children.

Each product is expertly handmade to order by Lucie in her London workshop. Traditional craftsmanship, British manufacturing and classic, affordable design are key concepts. Much of Lucie’s inspiration comes from the simple designs of certain objects she loved as a child in the 1970s, such as a pair of red t-bar sandals, and a satchel given to her by her French grandma.
